New Hope hires Terry Crabb as their new head men’s basketball coach

Please join me in welcoming Terry Crabb as the new head men's head basketball coach at NHCC.
"Coach Crabb has 20 years of high school basketball coaching experience.  From 2007-2012 he was at Harrisburg High School, where his teams went a combined 118-47.  During those 6 years his teams made the state playoffs 5 times.  The 2008 team finished 4th in state and the 2010 team finished 5th in state.  Prior to Harrisburg, Coach Crabb was at Crow High School in 2001 and 2002.  His 2002 team went 18-10 and participated in the state tournament.  From 1991 to 1999 he coached 7 out of 9 years at Christ’s Center School.  His last three teams there went 71-3 and brought home a 1st place (1998 24-0), a 2nd place (1999 23-1) and a 3rd place (1997 24-2) state trophy.  From 1985-1989 he coached the girls at Perrydale High School.  In 1984 he was an assistant at Western Oregon and prior to that played there."
Long time Harrisburg basketball coach, Mark Elmblade, will join Terry's staff as an assistant coach.  
 
"Mark has been the head boys coach at Harrisburg HS  from1986-1990.  His teams earned 3 League Titles in 4 Years and a 3rd Place State Tournament finish 1988 & 1989.  The Team also holds the State Tournament record for assists, all levels (64).   Mark has also been the head girls coach at Harrisburg HS from 2004-2010.  His teams also earned 3 League Titles in 7 Seasons with a 5th Place State Tournament finish in 2008.  Coach Elmbalde has also been named coach of the year in 1987, 2007, 2008, & 2009 along with coaching 2 Oregon All Star Teams & 2 Australia Tour Teams."
New Hope athletic department plans on retaining Paul Wright as the 2nd assistant coach in the program.
